basilaurens lore begins when, on november 2 of the 2019th year, the two of them meet on pony town, a game available on most browsers. the two hung around on it, along with mars, rat, etc. laurens was unaware they were a friend group and got kicked from the party once they wanted to stop hanging out with strangers. the group apologizes and, after a while of hanging out with laurens, decides to let her in their discord server
by this time laurens was a member, a friend, of the wheeze discord server, in which they roleplayed steven universe.
laurens got into transformers more than meets the eye, which prompted her sudden inactivity, clashing with the server's newfound interest in portal. during this timespan, the lesbian wedding took place- the first basilaurens marriage in their history, and a pre-celebration of basil's birthday
during the month of june of that same year, laurens entered the your turn to die subtwitter, where she met her friends and introduced them to the other group shortly after. basil felt uneasy during this.
as basil got more into your turn to die, she kinned keiji shinogi, for laurens's validation, clashing perfectly with laurens's kinning of shin tsukimi. they were known as 'the wives', and were often thought to be dating.
during october of that year, they got even closer, talking to each other privately about their interests, as the way they described it more often than not got the other to be invested in the concepts. this is when basil really caught feelings, but denied it. this is the prologue of the enstars era.
on november 28th, basil first realized his feelings on laurens, and stressed over it until on december 26th, they dated for the first time.
however, peace was broken as their mental health crashed bit by bit during the year of 2021, and got them in a bad place, with laurens breaking up with basil on april 14, leaving her completely soon after on april 15. this caused the both of them to get slightly worse for a while, but then it got a lot better, as they realized things they hadn't known and basil apologized to laurens properly. they became friends again on september 29th of 2021.
somewhere mid october, basil got feelings again, because of... a certain reocurring joke with laurens. she was afraid that laurens would be upset with them if he found out.
on february 13th of the 2022nd year, basil confessed again, upon laurens's jokes regarding the closely upcoming love-themed holiday. despite this, they are not dating and due to the lore expanding, they actually had many changes and also most lost their friendship, but slowly and happily worked it out... they are still not dating and its now 2023 and they are in respective relationships and bestest friends that ever.
